Message from Pastor Sukja

As we move through the season of spring, I am reminded of the words from Scripture: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). These words feel especially meaningful to me as I write this message. Life unfolds in different seasons, and sometimes we find ourselves standing at the threshold of a new one. After eight years of serving as your pastor at Ackermanville United Methodist Church, I will soon be entering a new season of life. My last Sunday in the pulpit will be June 14. As the time approaches, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on the years we have shared together in ministry.

It has truly been a joy and a privilege to serve this congregation. Over the years we have worshiped together, prayed together, and supported one another through many moments of life—times of celebration as well as times of challenge. Ackermanville has been a place where relationships matter and where people genuinely care for one another.

I have appreciated the many ways you have supported the ministry of this church and encouraged me in my work as your pastor. When I think about the time we have shared together, I am reminded of the words of the apostle Paul: “I thank my God every time I remember you” (Philippians 1:3). These words express well the gratitude I feel for this congregation and for the opportunity to serve among you.

Transitions can bring mixed emotions, but they also remind us that God continues to guide the life of the church in every season. I trust that God will continue to bless Ackermanville United Methodist Church and lead this congregation into the future with hope and strength. As the weeks ahead unfold, I look forward to the remaining time we will share together in worship and fellowship. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives and for the privilege of serving as your pastor.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Sukja
